LayerCare Pellets-

• A complete balanced diet to provide for top quality egg production. (Any supplementary treats should be fed in moderation so as not to dilute the formulation)
• A multi-grain product comprised of locally grown cereals and Flour milling products.
• Contains a blend of protein sources to help ensure that all of the birds’ amino acid requirements are fully satisfied.
• Lower in calories and so the label will declare lower oil and higher fibre
  – fibre for poultry is the “buzz topic” of the moment and so this is a positive.
• Fortified with dietary fibre – so important for intestinal health, satiety & resulting in good feather cover and condition. Good feathering helps the bird maintain her body temperature and also be a protection against rain, and scratches as she forages most naturally.
• Because it’s lower in calories, there is more room in the formulation for limestone and so it is higher in calcium and total ash – calcium needed for good eggshell.
• The stimulate package is removed and replaced with an alternative version – not a standout for most customers to see.
• This diet uses alternative red and yellow pigment components for yolk colouration ensuring the eggs produced have a most attractive orange yolk (not the natural red pepper / paprika extract used in Farmgate) – perhaps a more reliable and stable colourant, but is synthetically produced, therefore not harvested from nature.
• Supplemented with all of the minerals, trace elements and vitamins required by the bird and contains enzyme digestibility enhancers which help the bird extract most goodness from the feed and reduce nitrogen and phosphorus pollutant in their droppings.
